Dark chocolate will get you thin and prevent diabetes

If you are one of those people who love chocolate, choose dark over processed chocolate to get, besides its delicious taste, some health benefits. In the past years, research studies have shown many benefits of eating dark chocolate with moderation, because of the different types of antioxidants (flavanols) it contains, which can improve your heart health and clotting properties of blood platelets. Now, a new research study shows that flavanols could help fight obesity as well as type 2 diabetes. One specific type of flavanol known as oligomeric procyanidins (PCs) made a much more significant improvement for preventing obesity and diabetes than the other compounds. While diabetes mellitus may be prevented by eating dark chocolate, researchers say it must be unprocessed dark chocolate, which will have more of a bitter taste. The bitterness comes directly from the flavanols that are necessary for providing anti-diabetic and anti-obesity properties. When dark chocolate is over processed, in an attempt to take away the bitterness and make it taste sweeter, it strips away the flavanols and all of their health benefiting properties. ...
