Aloxi/palonosetron blocks the actions of chemicals in the body that can trigger nausea and vomiting. It works by blocking the hormone (serotonin) that causes vomiting.

Precaution:
You should not use Aloxi if you are allergic to palonosetron or to similar medicines such as dolasetron (Anzemet), granisetron (Kytril), or ondansetron (Zofran). Tell your doctor if you are using other medicine and if you have any illness, especially heart problems.
Because Aloxi/palonosetron can cause dizziness and drowsiness, do not drive and use heavy machinery until you are sure you can perform this activity safely.
