Bricanyl should be used with caution in situations that may increase susceptibility to sympathomimetic amines, such as patients with hyperthyroidism not then under control.
Asthmatic patients with concomitant diabetes blood glucose testing is recommended to start taking Bricanyl, because of the risk of hyperglycemia by beta 2-agonists. Beta 2-agonists have been used successfully in the acute treatment of severe ischemic heart failure. However, these drugs have an arrhythmogenic potential which should be considered in the treatment of the patient lung.
