Advair Diskus contains fluticasone and salmeterol. Advair prevents the release of substances in the body that cause inflammation. Advair is used to prevent asthma attacks. It is also used to prevent flare-ups or worsening of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) associated with chronic bronchitis and/or emphysema.
The dosage is based on your medical condition, age, and response to treatment. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. This medication works best if used at evenly spaced intervals. To help you remember, use it at the same times each day. Do not increase your dose, use this medication more frequently, or stop using it without first consulting your doctor. ...

Common side effects of Advair for asthma include:upper respiratory tract infection; throat irritation; hoarseness and voice changes; thrush in the mouth and throat; bronchitis; cough; headache; nausea and vomiting. In children with asthma, infections in the ear, nose, and throat are common.
Advair Diskus can cause serious side effects, including:serious allergic reactions such as rash, hives, swelling of the face, mouth, and tongue or breathing problems; effects on heart like increased blood pressure, a fast and irregular heartbeat, chest pain; tremor and nervousness; weakened immune system and a higher chance of infections; glaucoma and cataracts; pneumonia.
