Afeditab CR is an extended-release medication that is licensed for the treatment of high blood pressure. It is a type of calcium channel blocker and works by relaxing the blood vessels to improve blood flow and make it easier for the heart to pump blood.

This medication may also be used for certain types of chest pain called angina. It may help to increase your ability to exercise and decrease the frequency of angina attacks.

Afeditab CR comes in tablet. Take this medication by mouth on an empty stomach, usually once daily or as directed by your doctor. Swallow the whole or split tablet without crushing or chewing. ...


Side Effect:

The most common side effects that can occur include:headache, dizziness, nausea, flushing, constipation, leg/muscle cramps, or sexual problems. If any of these persists or get worsen, consult your doctor.

There are a number of more serious side effects with Afeditab CR that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider. These include:chest pain; an irregular heart rhythm (arrhythmia); heart attack; signs of very low blood pressure, such as dizziness or lightheadedness, especially when accompanied by fainting; severe swelling, water retention, or difficulty breathing, which may be signs of heart failure; depression; paranoia; breast enlargement in men (gynecomastia); signs of an allergic reaction, including an unexplained rash, hives, itching, unexplained swelling, wheezing, or difficulty breathing or swallowing.

Some rare side effects that occur in less than 1 percent of the patients include:chills, facial swelling, neck pain, sensitivity to the sun, migraine headaches, insomnia or drowsiness, diarrhea, gout; dry mouth, weight loss, arthritis, ringing in the ears (tinnitus), coughing, vomiting or sweating. ...


Precaution:

Before taking Afeditab tell your doctor if you have any allergies to calcium channel blockers like felodipine, amlodipine; or if you have any other allergies.

Tell your doctor if you have or ever have had any of the following condition:heart problems such as congestive heart failure, aortic stenosis, liver problems, kidney problems, or a certain metabolic disorder called porphyria.

It is not recommended to drive or use any heavy machinery until you are sure you can perform this safely.

During pregnancy and breastfeeding do not use this medication without your doctor advice. ...
