Aggrenox contains a combination of aspirin and dipyridamole. Aspirin is in a group of drugs called salicylates. It works by reducing substances in the body that cause pain, fever, and inflammation. Dipyridamole keeps platelets in your blood from sticking together to form clots. Aggrenox is a capsule containing 25 mg aspirin and 200 mg dipyridamole.

Tell your doctor immediately if any of these rare but very serious side effects occur:weakness, fainting, stomach pain, pounding/rapid heartbeat, yellowing of eyes/skin, dark urine, unusual bleeding/bruising.
Dizziness, stomach upset, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, and flushing may occur, particularly at first as your body adjusts to the medication. A very serious allergic reaction to this drug is rare. ...
Precaution:
This drug may make you dizzy. Do not drive, use machinery, or do any activity that requires alertness until you are sure you can perform such activities safely. During pregnancy, this medication should be used only when clearly needed.
Before taking dipyridamole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to it; or if you have any other allergies. Inform your doctor if you have or have ever had low blood pressure.
Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and nonprescription medications you are taking, especially aspirin and vitamins. If you are having surgery, including dental surgery, tell the doctor or dentist that you are taking dipyridamole.
Talk to your doctor about the risks and benefits of taking dipyridamole if you are 65 years of age or older. Older adults should not usually take dipyridamole because it is not as safe or effective as other medications that can be used to treat the same condition.
Your body may build up a dependency on Aggrenox and you may experience dizziness or drowsiness up to a few days after you stop taking this medication.
