Foot redness is a symptom often associated with foot rash, which is an eruption on the skin of the foot.
Causes
The possible causes of redness of skin on feet and ankles are varied. Some of these conditions are serious or are indicators of a serious underlying condition, other are extremely rare. There are several common conditions that can cause redness of foot and skin such as animal bites, arthritis, cellulitis, corns and calluses, diabetic foot problems, foot cellulitis, foot wound, heel bursitis, ingrown toenail, plantar fasciitis, wound infection.
Diagnosis and Treatment
Diagnosis and treatment will depend on whether the redness is also itchy or sore, swollen or hot to the touch, unified or blotchy, and whether there are other accompanying symptoms.
