Description
The suicidal thoughts have different reasons and can make a person to want to put an end to his/her life. People consider suicide when they are desperate and unable to see alternative solutions to problems. Suicidal behaviour is most likely related to a mental disorder (depression), alcohol abuse or other substance.
Causes
Suicidal behaviour is also more likely to occur when people experience stressful events (e. g. major losses, incarceration). Firearms are the most common method of suicide for men and women, representing 60 percent of all suicides. The second most common method is hanging, poisoning including drug overdose. The presence of a firearm in the home has been found to be an independent risk factor for suicide. ...
